Biotanic® is a botanical fungicide containing nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA), a metabolite extracted from the leaves and stems of the governatrix plant (/Larrea tridentata/).
The formula of Biotanic® allows it to work with different mechanisms of action on various species of phytopathogenic fungi that affect the foliage and fruits of crops.
Its fungicidal action is complemented by directly affecting the enzymes located in the cell wall of phytopathogenic fungi, causing a rupture of the wall, dehydration of the cell and death of the pathogen.
This metabolite also causes oxidative inhibition of enzymes, in addition to affecting the essential metabolic processes of pathogens.
